Self Managing Admin Costs – can I pay a bookkeeper?

QUESTION: I’m Self Managing my NDIS plan. I have a friend who is a bookkeeper, and she’s coming over to set everything up in spreadsheets and teach me how to do it and keep the records. Can I pay her? ANSWER: YES, as long as she has an ABN and gives you an invoice/receipt, you can pay for her time to help you set this up, as well as the relevant proportion of any related software or ongoing bookkeeping/administration expenses.…
