A question about STA (Short Term Accommodation), posed on social media, along with my (long, sorry) reply.

Question: Can we do STA respite for parent carers one-at-a-time, with one parent accompanying young teen on respite and the other staying home to have a break and care your our younger child)? (with neither parent being paid from the plan) Our young teen needs constant supervision and assistance with all ADLs, is non-verbal with limited communication, and becomes distressed without mum or dad for anything more than a brief time.
