"If there were a way to get a Certificate IV in NDIS and Support Coordination in two days, this course would be it. Just fabulous. I learned more in those two days that I have in three years working as a Support Co-ordinator" Adelaide February 2018
Sam has presented 100's of NDIS Nuts & Bolts sessions to thousands of people with disability, carers, workers, parliamentarians, service providers and community groups since 2015. These sessions lay out the NDIS – the good, the bad, the ugly and the awesome. Presented with direct experience of the scheme as a parent, advocate and support co-ordinator, Sam presents all the basics to prepare you for the planning meeting and help you make the most of your choice and control. You can book Sam to make a presentation to families, people with disability (intellectual, physical and/or sensory), school, community group or professional association here.
These sessions are always tailored to the audience – no two are the same, and Q&A’s are always welcome. This presentation works for groups of almost any size, from five to 200, though small groups are more beneficial, especially for those with cognitive disability. Sam donates this presentation to school groups at no cost twice each month.
This session is aimed at parents of children with disability who may feel like they’ve been thrown into a maze without a guide. A presentation with hope and clear information about the benefits of inclusion, the child and family’s rights, and all about making the “least dangerous assumption” for your child. Q&A’s always welcome. This presentation has evolved and developed over eight years and hundreds of families across Australia and works best in groups of less than 15.
