DID YOU KNOW: If your child is turning 16 years old and is blind or has significant disability they are may be eligible for the Disability Support Pension from the day they turn 16, even if they are still at school. The pension at this age is lower than the adult rate. They should also qualify for the Pensioner Education Supplement (and you’ll need to ask and apply for this separately).
