Specialist Disability Accommodation is where NDIS helps pay to build accessible homes for disabled people (and not just those with physical disability, btw)
💡 Did you know that those payments can go to disabled people (it’s not just for developers) who have built their own SDA home? And it can be a lot of money.
💪 I want disabled people to own their own homes! Why should the developers make thousands of bucks when many disabled people and families could well build and own their own?
📚 We’ll cover:
1️⃣ What is SDA and who is eligible for this funding?
2️⃣ What sort of homes can be built and do I have to share house?
3️⃣ How much money might you get, and for how long?
4️⃣ The (many) steps to building your own SDA home.
5️⃣ Being a “self provider” of SDA, or not? – what are the other options?
🎯 As always, I won’t beat around the bush and I won’t shy from the reality – I’ll share the dirt – how hard it is to get a loan, how long the whole thing might take.
