Sorry, Bookings have closed for this event.

This five hour small group workshop will answer all those questions you have about NDIS – we aim to get you away from drowning or treading water, to swimming a powerful freestyle, or diving wherever you want to go!

Designed for people with disability and their families, this workshop will take you through all the basics, with Tips and Tricks from one of Australia’s most knowledgeable NDIS experts.

Sam Paior and her team from The Growing Space will help you:

  • prepare for your first meeting or kick butt at your review,
  • understand your plan and its flexibility
  • figure out Money Management choices and what they mean
  • know what to watch out for
  • understand what all the categories mean and how can you actually use your funds
  • find providers and supports that work for you
  • know what makes a good Service Agreements and what Service Bookings are all about
  • take control and get it fixed if it all goes pear shaped
  • make the most of the NDIS

When: Wednesday March 11th   9:30am-2:30pm

Where: Gawler Civic Centre 89-91 Murray St, Gawler SA 5118
Who: People with Disability or Carers/Guardians who want the most up to date and useful direct information and how to make the most of the NDIS
How many people: Not more than 16 people
Cost: $285 payable by Debit or Credit Card at time of booking (for Self and most Plan Managed participants, this can be claimed from your plan under Core, CB or Support Coordination – check with your Plan Manager). Places are not able to be held without payment. You will be emailed a receipt for claiming.
Food: A simple lunch and snacks will be provided. If you have dietary requirements, please bring what you need. Some gluten free foods will be available.
Accessibility: Please let us know if you have access requirements. This is important as the venue is somewhat accessible (but not the toilet), and we will very happily change venues to a more accessible one if needed.
What to bring: Bring a copy of your current NDIS plan. If you do not yet have an NDIS plan some of this workshop will not be useful for you, but it will help you prepare for your planning meeting.
Can I claim this on my NDIS plan? If your plan is Self or Plan Managed, you should be able to claim this session from your Core or Capacity Building Supports, or from your Support Coordination budget (if that budget line is Self or Plan Managed – you’ll need to check carefully). You’ll need to check with your plan manager if they will reimburse you. They should, but do check. If your plan is Agency Managed, you will not be able to claim this workshop on the NDIS.
When should I book? Now. This usually sells out quickly.
